Sakhele TKMVSM Primary Cooperative Limited is a new start up cooperative business in the agricultural sector. It was established by a group of five members of four females and one male. Who saw an opportunity to provide unrivalled quality to the agricultural sector and the on growing of food chain supply to the public/ communities. The business is situated in Limpopo 260 Sterkspruit Oristad Burgersfort, Limpopo, with a eight hector of land. The entity will focus on broiler production for now and planning to also start a production of vegetable plantation in 2025.

Burgersfort is a town in Limpopo province, in the Fetakgomo Tubatse Local Municipality. Members will undergo extensive poultry production training in order to grant them the necessary skills relevant to the business and also plantation and other production training. Sakhele TKMVSM Primary Cooperative Limited needs financial injection in the form of a business grant amount to R350 000.00 for the construction of a complete broiler unit, electrification, borehole, drilling and fencing. The members of Sakhele TKMVSM Primary Cooperative Limited are confident that this is a viable business due to the demand for the product on offer, past experience and potential presented by identified market.

Sakhele TKMVSM Primary Cooperative Limited was established in 2024 and legally registered with CIPC as a Primary Cooperative to give it a corporate image. It has not been formally and actively trading now. The registration number for the Cooperative is 2024/ 004987/ 24, and it is also registered with SARS for tax income purposes therefore our TAX reference number is 9351063236. The idea to start Sakhele TKMVSM Primary Cooperative Limited was to be conceptualized in early 2024 by five members from Gauteng and one member from Limpopo, who identified a gap in the market to supply broiler chickens and vegetables. Members have secured a stand / plot that they intend to put the necessary infrastructure and start operating, however due to financial constraints the idea has not materialized yet. The stand has nothing on it yet except the surrounding fence. Sakhe TKMVSM Primary Cooperative Limited will adhere to accounting principles in order to ensure proper management of its finances. A local auditing firm has been identified and we will approach it to provide auditing and accounting services. Furthermore small enterprise development agency SEDA, an agency of department of trade industry DTI has also been identified to help us provide regular business advisory services, training and mentoring. Other agencies such as Limpopo Economic Development Agency LEDA will also help us by providing regular advice to help the business in realizing its goal.
